What is my child allowed and not allowed?

Does your little one suffer from chicken pox? If your child feels good, it can simply go to school or daycare. Chickenpox is already contagious before your child develops symptoms. So it makes no sense to keep your child at home to prevent contamination from other children. Your child can also take a shower or bath. Warm water can cause the itching to increase. Therefore use lukewarm water.

Are you going on vacation? Then keep the following things in mind:

  • Are you going to fly and are you unsure whether your child is allowed on board? Check with your airline about the rules about chicken pox.
  • Keep your child out of the pool. Swimming pool water can make itching worse and wounds can become infected after swimming.
  • Keep your child out of the sun . The blisters can burn quickly in the sun.
